Scots Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie and Kit Harington welcome baby boy

Game of Thrones actors Rose Leslie and Kit Harington have become parents to a bouncing baby boy.

And Aberdeen born Rose who played Ygritte, a wildling, and her husband who played Night Watch member Jon Snow on the hit show are said to be 'very very happy' according to their publicist.

Rose, who was also in Downton Abbey, confirmed she was pregnant with her first child last September and that she and Kit had been spending the pandemic lockdown in “the countryside” in East Anglia, England.

The two lovebirds met when they appeared together on Game of Thrones from 2012 to 2014 and they got married to one another in the summer of 2018, in Rose's family's 12th century family castle - Wardhill Castle- in Aberdeenshire.

The star-studded wedding was witnessed by celebrities including Scottish actor Richard Madden, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Emilia Clarke.

Kit spoke of his love for Rose telling Vogue Italia how they fell for one another behind the scenes in season two.

In the 2016 interview, he said: "Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.

"If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it's becomes very easy to fall in love."

News of a Game of Thrones offspring is sure to excite fans and the New York Post revealed news of their new baby after they were spotted walking in London together hand in hand while Rose carried their son in a baby carrier.
