A Scots fisherman was injured after his boat hit rocks before taking in water.
Coastguard, RNLI, paramedics and fire crews were all called to the major emergency response was launched after the dramatic early morning incident at Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders.
After hitting the rocks the vessel was towed to the local harbour where water had to be pumped out at around 2am on Tuesday morning.
A casualty was handed over to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
It is unclear at this time the severity of his injuries.
A statement issued by Eyemouth Coastguard reads: "An early morning wake up call saw the team paged just before 2am today, to assist colleagues from RNLI Eyemouth Lifeboat, Eyemouth Community Fire Station and Scottish Ambulance Service after a fishing vessel hit rocks and was taking on water.
"When we arrived on scene, the vessel was in Eyemouth harbour and water was being pumped from it by the lifeboat and the fire service.
"Due to the nature of the damage, pumping had to continue until there was enough tide in the harbour for the fishing vessel to be lifted from the water. Due to this Berwick Coastguard rescue team was paged just before 4am to assist and relieve team.
"Once the vessel was safely out of the water, and a casualty handed over to the ambulance service, and all teams where stood down just after 10am.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
The Scottish Ambulance Service was contacted for comment.
