Scots first in UK to taste test Cadbury's new mint flavoured Flake

Scots are to be the first in the UK to taste test Cadbury's new mint flavoured flake .

The crumbly delight's arrival on the shelves is certain to get the juices flowing among chocolate fans after it was unveiled on social media .

The treat features the same flaky milk chocolate that lovers of the original bar adore, Mirror Online reports.

The new sweet on the shelf was first announced on forum Hot UK Deals earlier today.

And fans south of the border hope not to have to wait too long for it to hit the shops closer to home, with rumours rife that it will soon be on sale elsewhere in the UK.

Cadbury are yet to confirm the news themselves, but excited fans are comparing the latest launch with the mint version of Wispa, which launched back in 1995 only to be discontinued in 2003.

However the minty Flake has a lot to live up to, with the British brand's Snowflake variety from the early 2000's still a beloved nostalgic treat from the recent past, featuring a normal Flake bar but encased in smooth white chocolate.

The news follows the launch of a few other equally as intriguing new chocolate flavours, including a chocolate orange flavour Twirl, and Maltesers white chocolate truffles.
