Father and son farmers sold lambs painted with the Ukraine flag and raised more than £2000 for Ukrainian refugees.

Robert Nicolson and Matthew, of Noss Farm, Shetland, Ltd put the 97lb animals forward for sale at the Shetland Livestock Marketing Group with all profits donated to Shetland Solidarity with Refugees.

Robert said: “The reports of the turmoil in Ukraine have touched everyone.

"We are glad this small effort was so keenly supported with a good outcome.”

Shetland Solidarity with Refugees had already raised in excess of £16,000 in recent weeks on the back of the Ukraine crisis.
