Scots drug dealer caught with £13k worth of ketamine at holiday caravan park

A dealer is facing jail after being caught with £13,000 of drugs in a holiday park caravan.

Mark Hardie, 35, had the stash of ketamine on the Campsie Glen Holiday Park in Fintry, Stirlingshire.

It was discovered in a police raid on December 16th, 2019.

Hardie, of Govan, Glasgow, pleaded guilty at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday to being concerned in the supply of the drug of abuse, which is also used as a horse anaesthetic.

Prosecutor Alistair McDermid said: "The accused indicated to police that it was his following a search of the locus, which was a static caravan."

Sheriff William Gilchrist deferred sentence on Hardie until October 13th, at Stirling Sheriff Court, for background reports.

But he warned Hardie: "Given your record, and the nature of the offence, custody is highly probable."

According to drugs harm reduction website FRANK, Ketamine can make abusers feel "detached, happy and chilled" - or anxious and confused.

The site warns that users can sometimes "lose the ability to move and go into a 'k-hole'."

It says: "This feels like your mind and body have separated and you can't to do anything about it."
