Scots driver caught with drugs during routine cop patrol

A man was caught with drugs during a routine police patrol in Kirkcaldy this morning.

Officers swooped on the vehicle, which was stopped on the B981 while cops were out-and-about in the town.

The incident happened at around 8am today.

The 23-year-old was reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with possession of drugs.

Locals in the area reported a large police presence following the incident.

Pictures from the scene show two marked police cars, a marked van, and an unmarked BMW.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a 23-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with drugs possession, after a car was stopped during a routine patrol on the B981 in Kirkcaldy."
