Thirsty Scots who may have visited three pubs in Carlisle are being urged to get a coronavirus test after a cluster was identified.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway is holding a testing call after six positive cases were found among a group of people who visited the establishments last week.
Anyone who called in at The Turf in Carlisle on July 9, 10 or 13 is being advised to seek a test.
The town’s Lloyds Bar has also been linked to a positive person on July 11 while The Museum had a potential case on July 13.
The Scots health board said: “Colleagues in Cumbria are asking people who visited three Carlisle pubs on specific dates to come forward for COVID-19 testing.
“It comes after six positive coronavirus cases were identified among a group of people who visited those Carlisle pubs on these dates and also attended a local house party.
“As a precaution, anyone attending the three pubs on the following specific dates is now being advised to be tested for COVID-19.
“Anyone in Dumfries and Galloway who is concerned about symptoms should get advice through the www.nhsinform.scot website or by phoning NHS-111.
“To help identify any possible new cases of coronavirus infection and help prevent wider spread we are encouraging any members of the public who have symptoms of coronavirus (a cold or flu like illness - including a new cough, high temperature, or loss of smell) to arrange testing.”
More than a dozen testing sessions are being held in Dumfries and Galloway towns including Annan, Castle Douglas, Stranraer and Lockerbie.
