Scots Dragon's Den star Duncan Bannatyne flies to Uzbekistan as rules relax

Dragon's Den star Duncan Bannatyne has revealed he has finally gone on holiday - to Uzbekistan with wife Nigora.

Duncan, 72, who now lives permanently in Portugal after he "repatriated" there with Nigora, 41, following the UK lockdown, decided it was time to travel and visit his wife's family in Uzbekistan.

Following the relaxation of some travel rules following Covid, Duncan took the opportunity to fly for the eight and a half hour journey .

Duncan showed off the sights and sounds of capital Tashkent saying: "Early evening in Tashkent Wonderful country."

He also told followers: "Night out in Tashkent with my lovely wife @nigora_bannatyne Wonderful city."

When asked why he was there he told one of his followers: "Visiting family"

Duncan who made his wedding speech in Nigora's native language for the Uzbek part of their celebrations has praised his Uzbek family before.

He said: "My new Uzbek family are generous, caring, giving people and I am proud to be part of what is to me a wonderful new world.

Uzbekistan is a Central Asian nation and former Soviet republic.
