Scots design ace Ian Callum joins World Car Awards team

SCOTTISH automotive design guru Ian Callum has joined a panel of experts advising the World Car Of The Year judges.

The Dumfries-born former Aston Martin and Jaguar creator joins half a dozen other design aces from across the globe for the prestigious role.

The panel’s job is to review all vehicles that are up for the World Luxury, Performance, Urban and overall Car Of The Year categories.

From this, they will recommend a shortlist of finalists for the 2020 World Car Design Of The Year award that highlights new vehicles with innovation and style.

The World Car Awards’ 86 journalist jurors, from 24 countries all around the globe, then vote on their individual choices.

The World Car Design winner will be announced on April 8 at the opening of the New York International Auto Show.
