A Scots dad has been left unable to work after losing his leg in a horror accident at a building site in Glasgow.
Jason Bain, from Glasgow, had his leg amputated from the knee down after the accident took place last month.
It is understood Jason, 31, was unloading materials at the Multiplex building site on Argyle Street when one load fell on his legs as he tried to remove slings from a crane.
He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospitalwith serious injuries and medics made the decision to amputate the limb.
The Health and Safety Executive had been made aware of the incident and Multiplex confirmed they had launched internal enquiries.

The Scottish Ambulance Service was also forced to apologise after the injured worker waited 60 minutes in agony before paramedics arrived to tend to his crushed leg.
"We will be contacting the patient to apologise for the delay caused by excessive demand during this time", a spokesperson said.
Loved ones have rallied round to support the family financially after they lost their income following Jason's accident.
His partner and two children are said to be "staying strong" while the dad faces a long road to recovery.
A message on the fundraiser read: "On Tuesday 20/7/21 banksman/slinger Jason Bain had a horrific accident that has seen him lose his leg from the knee down.
"Jason's partner and 2 kids are staying strong for him while he is undergoing surgery and a lengthy recovery.
"While Jason is laid up the family has lost the financial support that he brings so all donations will go to the family to see them through.
"I believe that in Scottish construction we look out for our own when such a severe accident like this happens.
"Like most of the people donating I know Jason through work and so do a lot of donators and the rest will be made up of family and friends.
"Please donate even a pound goes a long way if everyone digs deep."
Nearly £7,000 has already been raised since the fundraiser was set up in July.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 31-year-old man injured on a construction site near the junction of Argyle Street and York Street in Glasgow around 9pm on Tuesday, 20 July.
“The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
“The Health and Safety Executive has been made aware.”
A Multiplex spokesperson said at the time: “We can confirm there was an incident at Argyle Street on Tuesday in which one member of the construction team was injured. We are undertaking internal enquiries and supporting the team on site.
"The Health and Safety Executive was immediately informed and we and our sub-contractors are co-operating fully with its enquiries.
"Our thoughts are very much with the team member involved.”
