A Scots dad built a tiki bar in his back garden to stave off lockdown boredom - just in time for weekend sunny spell.
Scott Glendinning works as a service manager for an engineering firm, but has been working from home due to the government's guidance on stopping the spread of the deadly Covid-19 strain.
He was so bored at being cooped up in the house, and missed the pub so much, that he decided to build a bar of his own.
And during breaks from his normal work he was able to craft the bar out of scrap wood from his garage - and old Hallowe'en decorations he had in the loft of his home in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire.
The 53-year-old built the bar so he, his wife Lorraine, 49, son Scott, 24, and daughter Laura, 22, could enjoy the sunshine
And he has now been inundated with special requests from family members wanting their own bars for their back gardens.
Daniel said: "It’s just made from scrap he had in the garage and random stuff he found in the loft from Halloween parties.
"There's bamboo, thatch, an old wooden bar top and bar stools.
"It took him a week in between working from home, although he fast tracked it when he heard about the heatwave.
"This was a result of his lockdown boredom and how much he misses the pub.
"He’ll be serving up tropical cocktails to keep the household in good spirits during the lockdown!
"He’s now getting special requests from the rest of our family to have one built for their back gardens too - although not until the lockdown is over!"
