Scots Covidiots drove 300 miles to Wales uninsured during lockdown to see pals

Two Scots Covidiots were snared by police after driving 300 miles to Wales during lockdown.

The pair were stopped by cops as they headed to Anglesey to visit friends yesterday.

And, as well as discovering the pair had headed down from Scotland, the officers found they were driving without insurance.

Welsh police have now confirmed the pair have been reported for breaching the coronavirus lockdown, as reported by North Wales Live.

In a short statement, North Wales Police Force said: "Two drivers reported in Valley for driving without insurance.

"Also reported for breaching Covid travel restrictions having travelled from Scotland to see friends."

Their jaunt comes at a time when tougher lockdown restrictions have come into force in Scotland in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has warned the spread of the deadly virus is "extremely serious" - resulting in all of mainland Scotland, currently being banned from leaving home except for essential purposes.

All businesses have been told that employees should be working from home and should only go to their workplace if they can't.
