A thug hurled abusive and homophobic slurs at a Scots couple sparking a police investigation.
The vile hate crime happened on Thursday night in Dumfries at around 10pm.
The couple had been walking their dog when confronted by a man at the Dock Park.
The yob, who also had a dog, then began throwing abusive remarks before walking away.
He is described as being approx 5 ft 11, slim build, clean shaven, 20-30 years old, local accent and was wearing a black beanie hat and khaki coloured jacket.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "If you were in the vicinity and saw or heard this incident take place or if you have any other information that may assist us with enquiries, please phone us on 101 quoting Ref 4040 of 21st May."
