In Ayrshire and Arran, the number of positive confirmed cases now stands at 296.

This is a rise of eight from yesterday's total.

A total of 4,229 people have now tested positive in Scotland - a daily rise of 268.

Of the confirmed positive cases, 1751 people are in hospital - an increase of 152.

It comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to intensive care last night as his coronavirus symptoms worsened.

Downing Street officials said this lunchtime he was in a "stable" condition and had not yet needed the use of a ventilator.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is currently "deputising where necessary" while the PM fights his hospital battle.
