Scots cops search for witnesses after Mercedes crashes into building leaving four in hospital

An appeal has been launched after a horror crash in a S cots city that put four people in hospital.

The serious crash happened around 9.10pm on Thursday night, when a Mercedes E220 struck a building near Inverness city centre.

Police and ambulance crews raced to the scene and a 43-year-old woman and three men, aged 32, 38 and 42, were taken to Raigmore Hospital.

The three men sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The building, at the junction of Grant Street and Lochalsh Road, the Mercedes crashed into was badly damaged and the road remains closed while it is structurally assessed.

Road Policing Sergeant Kate Park urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.

She said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

"I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage prior to the crash which could help with our investigation."

Information can be provided to Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3321 of 21 January.
