Scots cops thought they'd 'quacked' the case after returning from nightshift to discover a family of ducks had gathered in the car park of their police station.
Officers watched the cute scene with the mother and her nine ducklings with one cop even taking a picture with one of the adorable creatures at Haddington station in East Lothian.
The Scottish SPCA charity was then called to pick up the animals and take them safely to the River Tyne.

In a pun-filled statement, Police Scotland cheekily said they had probed the birds over some thefts over night.
It read: "Nightshift officers returned to Haddington Police Station at the quack of dawn this morning to find these visitors at the back door.

"Aware that there had been some thefts during the night the officers interrogated them and found that they weren’t Robber-ducks.
"They were looked after until colleagues from the SSPCA arrived to take them safely back to the river."
Locals have lapped up the scene with the Facebook post gathering more than 120 likes in less than an hour and multiple shares.
