Scots cops launch CCTV appeal after raid at Glasgow petrol station

Police have launched a CCTV appeal after two thugs robbed a female worker in a "terrifying" raid on a Scots petrol station last month.

The crooks targeted the Spar store next to the Shell Garage in Glasgow at around 9pm on Friday, January 15.

They made off with hundreds of pounds in cash and fled from the scene, in Edinburgh Road, in an unknown direction.

Today, cops have released images of two men they wish to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries into the incident.

The first man is described as white, between 18-25 years of age, 5ft 9ins in height and of slim build. He was wearing a black top with a white line across the chest, black jogging trousers and a scarf covering his face.

The second man is described as white, aged between 25-35 years of age, around 5ft 10ins in height and of heavy build. He was wearing navy blue Nike jogging trousers, a checked jacket, a red face mask and a dark-coloured hat.

In a statement at the time of the incident Police Constable Robert Fox said: "Although nobody was injured, this was a terrifying incident for the woman, who was simply doing her job, and for another woman who was also in the petrol station at the time."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Robert Fox from the Community Investigation Unit through 101 quoting reference number 3297 of January 15.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
