Scots cops hunting firebug who torched car before attacking another man

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by another man seen setting a car alight.

The black Mercedes -Benz was set on fire around 5:15pm on Saturday 12 June in East Lothian.

The 27-year-old male was assaulted on High Street, Dunbar, according to police.

PC Valentine from Haddington Police Station said: "Whilst we are following a positive line of enquiry, we would like to appeal to any members of the public who saw the incident and particularly those who may have filmed the altercation to contact 101 and quote incident number 2548 of Saturday 12th June 2021."
