Scots cops find £38,000 in drugs and 'noxious spray' in raid on suburban street

Cops have found more than £38,000 of drugs and an illegal spray after a house raid in Ayrshire.

Officers discovered what is thought to be cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis and diazepam with a combined street value of £38,615 after descending on Glen Farrar Way in Kilmarnock at around 2.55pm yesterday.

What's been described as a 'noxious spray' and £3,770 in cash were also recovered by cops.

Weapons like pepper spray are illegal in Scotland.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection and is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, 26 October.

Detective Sergeant Andrea Templeton, of Kilmarnock CID, urged the public to come forward with any information in their communities.

He said: "We would always appeal to the public to provide us with information by calling 101 if they have concerns about drug crime in their area.

"We understand the impact this type of crime can have on communities."
