Scots cop accused of injuring colleague by 'crashing into him with police car'

A Scots police officer has been accused of injuring a colleague after allegedly crashing into him with a police car.

Stuart Maclennan, 43, is said to have driven the vehicle without due care and attention in Glasgow’s Aikenhead Road on February 14, 2021.

Court papers state that Maclennan failed to keep proper lookout and when he was driving the Peugeot 308 police vehicle, he collided with a blue Honda car.

This was said to cause injury to Tooba Ayub and constable Fergus McLean.

Maclennan pled not guilty at Glasgow’s Justice of the Peace court and a trial was set for August.
