Scots commuters warned as M8 blocked by flooding ahead of morning rush hour

Scots commuters have been warned after a section of the M8 was blocked by flooding.

Traffic Scotland made motorists aware of the flooding at around 7am on Monday morning, November 15.

One lane on the busy motorway is closed on the M8 West St onslip in Glasgow, with drivers urged to take care.

Traffic Scotland's warning on Twitter read: "M8 flooding Lane 1 of 2 closed on the M8 West St onslip due to flooding. TRISS are on scene."

Live traffic camera images show a large pool of water in the middle of the road.

Traffic Scotland have since confirmed the road has been cleared and traffic is back moving again.
