Scots commentator Andrew Cotter tells how Mabel has 'turned to drink' to cope with fame in latest video

BBC broadcaster Andrew Cotter is at it again with a shocking ‘behind the scenes’ video of his pet dogs, Olive and Mabel.

Sharing the latest film with 380,000 Twitter followers, Andrew reveals how the pressure of fame has finally forced Mabel to turn to drink.

Describing his youngest lab’s fall from grace he says that she has been “caught up in the celebrity life” and “not putting in the work.”

The hilarious video is the latest of a series of films charting the adventures of his two naughty dogs.

Past efforts include a ‘performance review’ video meeting with the animals, one involving a ‘fetid pond’ and a battle over breakfast.

The clips have been shown on news channels and chat shows around the world and have led to a huge book deal for the 46-year-old golf commentator.

The latest film charts the rise and fall of both the dogs with Mabel, in particular, struggling with the showbiz lifestyle.

The golden labrador is seen slurping heavily from a bowl as Andrew describes her battles with the dreaded drink.

Hundreds of Twitter users commented on the latest film.

Quoting from the clip, Rod Bromwich wrote: “ ‘We didn’t realise how much she was drinking’ - genius.”

While Iain Cameron said: “Hurts to see Mabel hitting the bottle. That’s not the dog I know.”

Luckily the film ends with the trio back together on a walk with Andrew declaring it’s all “water under the bridge” and vowing to “remember the good times.”
