Scots comedian Janey Godley left injured after nasty fall in Edinburgh

Scots comedian Janey Godley has been left with an arm injury after suffering a fall while out and about in Edinburgh.

Janey was recording the audiobook version of her autobiography 'Handstands in the Dark' yesterday when she suffered the tumble.

She took to social media to share a picture of her bruised arm after she tripped up and landed on the metal footrest of a chair.

The star posted a picture of her black and blue injury with the caption: "Inbetween working in the recording studio I Managed to trip and fall yesterday and land with my arm on the metal foot rest of a chair - coz I am an idiot - then went back to recording my audio book."

Concerned fans were quick to offer their advice, with one person saying: "Arnica gel is good for bruising, hope you’re ok today x."

Another added: "Ooh you poor thing- that looks painful - rub arnica cream in and take arnica tablets."

A third commented: "That’s what happens when we’ve all been “locked down” for a year. When we finally get out and about we’ve forgotten how to go about our business in the world. Get some Arnica on that bruise."

The comedian recently announced that she was relaunching her bestselling autobiography 'Handstands In The Dark' with a new cover and introduction.
