Scots chip shop blaze sparks huge emergency response with 30 firefighters called to scene

More than 30 firefighters have tackling a blaze at a Scots chip shop.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the fire on Southhouse Road, Edinburgh at around 2.37am on Monday November 1.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said six fire engines and a high reach appliance had been dispatched to the area.

They added that 32 firefighters were working on what they described as a large-scale blaze.

There were no reports of any casualties. The SFRS have been contacted for an update.
