Scots cat owner in stitches after cheeky moggy steals cooked burger from neighbour’s house

A pet owner was left in stitches after her cheeky cat returned home with a still warm burger he had pinched from a neighbour’s house.

Billie Carolann heard little Enzo growling on Wednesday evening and feared the three-year-old had caught a bird or mouse while out exploring in Dalgety Bay, Fife.

But after chasing after the mischievous moggy, the 31-year-old was shocked to see him drop the cooked meat patty onto the floor before swiftly scoffing his tasty treat.

Despite sharing a video of her cat’s antics on social media, Billie has yet to discover whose dinner he stole but hopes they can see the funny side.

She said: “I always let them out the kitchen window as I don’t have a cat flap and they only get out when I’m home. So I got in from work, let them out and got on with my cleaning.

“I heard him jump in the window and when he has something he growls. So I chased after him expecting a bird or a mouse and he dropped the item with a thud.

“I thought ‘that’s not an animal’ so I looked and it was a burger. I automatically thought ‘oh gosh what if it’s poisoned’ but then it was still warm.

“I’m guessing he hadn’t raided a bin but someone’s home at dinner time. Safe to say he munched the burger and is ok.”

Billie, who also owns Enzo’s twin brother Olaf, added: “No one has come forward about it but I hope they were ok though.

"I’d find it funny but I love animals.

“He’s never done anything like this before. It’s always just birds which I do my best to save.”
