Scots burger joint blasts 'attention seeking' customer after complaining about food

A Scots burger restaurant has blasted a customer and branded them 'attention seeking' after a complaint over its food.

Canadian diner Down the Hatch in South Queensferry hit out at one unhappy customer who complained on about a takeaway order on Sunday.

The disgruntled diner posted photos on Twitter of the burger they received compared to the one advertised on the restaurant's social media page, branding it 'expectation vs reality'.

The restaurant was quick to shut down the furious customer, claiming they were 'attention seeking'.

Down the Hatch replied: "Quite obvious you’ve taken items off your burger or ordered without items.

"We are 100% confident we would never send a special like that... attention seeking hey?"

The post quickly racked up almost 4,000 likes, with the customer even posting a photo of the order's receipt.

They later commented: "It’s probably just a case of a mixed up order with someone else but for them to tweet me trying to say I’m attention seeking is hilarious haha."

It comes as restaurants, pubs and cafes are allowed to welcome back customers indoors for the first time in almost five months today after only allowed to operate as takeaways.

Beer gardens can serve alcohol and stay open until 10pm under new lockdown restrictions, with diners allowed to order food indoors until 8pm.
