Scots bride with terminal cancer tragically dies on wedding day after family fought to give her magical ceremony

A terminally ill woman has died just hours before she was to have the wedding of her dreams.

We told how Hazel Jack had just weeks to live earlier this month.

The 42-year-old had advanced metastatic breast cancer, which she'd been battling for six years.

Living on borrowed time, Hazel's one last wish was to marry her fiance Jono, on January 30.

Desperate to give the patient the wedding of her dreams, loved ones for kind suppliers to help grant Hazel's one last wish.

At 11am Hazel's sister Gillian Anderson revealed the tragic news that she'd passed away.

Gillian said: "Our beautiful Hazel has died this morning after her courageous battle with cancer.

"Thank you to everyone who has been there for Hazel, the family and friends and who have so generously donated to her dream wedding."

She added: "The family would like to invite you to join them at Cornhill Castle, Coulter Road, Biggar today from 3.30pm onwards to celebrate Hazel’s life and share our memories of her, as was her wishes.

"Everyone is very welcome to attend, please do share this post with those you think may wish to attend.
