Scots bride shares stunning Glencoe wedding photo with majestic stag

Talk about a dream wedding setting.

Bride Laura Hirvonen must have thought she was in a fairytale when she and husband Caol got married against the magical backdrop of Glencoe and even had a majestic stag put in an appearance.

The pair clearly look smitten as they pose in front of the pyramid-like natural formation of Buachaille Etive Mór with golden sunlight flooding the scene.

Expert wedding photographer Kayleigh Scott has clearly pulled out all of the stops in what will is surely a one-of-a-kind wedding album.

Laura looks absolutely beautiful in her traditional white dress, while handsome groom Caol, who took his wife's family name of Hirvonen, sports a dress kilt.

Edinburgh-based recruitment consultant Laura explained that she and software test engineer Caol got engaged after he surprised her with a hotel date when she returned to the capital from visiting her parents in Finland.

The happy couple were looking for a small, intimate wedding with only their closest family members when they found their ideal location.

Laura said: "We knew that we wanted to have it in the Highlands, as we both love Scottish nature.

"We did a lot of research on potential venues but we fell in love with the Kingshouse Hotel immediately - it’s such a gorgeous location and the facilities are amazing!

"My parents came to the wedding from Finland, and I hadn’t seen them in over a year because of Covid so it was great to just relax together. It was also the first time my parents met Caol’s family! Luckily they all got along well."

With the wedding venue secure, they just had to pray for good weather for the photoshoot and luckily, they struck upon the perfect day. They even got a surprise guest who became the star of one of the unbelievable photographs.

"Everyone’s been very impressed with the photos. Our photographer Kayleigh did an amazing job! We really love the photo with the stag.

"Everyone seemed to have a good time, and the guests loved the venue. We’re super happy with our photos, I can’t stop looking at them."

And we can't really blame her.
