Scots have been told to brace themselves for floods after weather experts issued a 24-hour weather warning for heavy rain.
The yellow warning, issued by the Met Office, has been put in place between 3pm on Thursday and 3pm on Friday.
Businesses and homes in the area around the likes of Fort William , Oban and Tobermory could be flooded as a result of heavy rainfall.
Commuters using public transport could see traffic chaos over the 24-hour period as rain is expected to lash the Strathclyde and the Highlands over the two days.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Heavy rain may lead to some localised flooding across parts of western Scotland.
“Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely. Spraying and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
“Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.”
