Scots blogger Lucy Flight in self-isolation over coronavirus fears

Scots blogger Lucy Flight has self-isolated at her London flat over coronavirus fears.

The YouTuber told her 156k Instagram followers that she's experiencing symptoms of the deadly bug, but because she's not considered "high risk" she hasn't been tested yet.

The 22-year-old, who grew up in Strathaven, said she has decided to follow medical advice by quarantining herself at home, along with pal and fellow social media star Luis Elkes .

Lucy, who has more than 150k subscribers on YouTube , said: "So we've not had the test for coronavirus but we called 111 and they said they will not test us because we are not in a group of 'high risk' people.

"We have all the symptoms and I have also been in contact with private doctors who have said they don't doubt that we have it so their advice was to self isolate and keep fluids up, take pain killers when needed and to rest.

"I feel rough as hell and I'm so bored being cooped up like a b****y chicken. Just trying to make the best out of a crappy situation."

So far, coronavirus tests are being carried out mainly on those who have travelled to a high risk area or country recently, or been in close contact with someone who is affected, despite a rise in community transmissions in the UK.
