SCOTS have been left baffled by a new “self care” app – which appears to be offering them a scrap.
“Square Go” markets itself as an app for managing and booking beauty appointments.
"Introducing Square Go, the new app to discover, book, and manage your local self-care experiences," the firm said.
"Creative Studio collaborated with the amazing folks from the Square Go team to help launch their new booking platform. Shoutout to everyone involved!"
But Scottish social media users were left puzzled by the aggressive-sounding name, which means a fight in Scots slang.
One Twitter user gleefully commented: “Fantastic new ‘they didn’t consult a Scottish person on the name’ just dropped.”
The Being Scottish account wrote: "The meaning of Square Go in Scotland is the polar opposite of self-care."
Another quipped: “Reminded of when my wellness app, ‘Mon then ya c***’ tanked in the Scottish market.”

"Getting drunk and starting fights on Sauchiehall Street is the highest form of self-care actually," a third said.
Even Irn-Bru got in on the action. "Must have been some square go if you’re needing an MUA [make-up artist] after," the drinks brand wrote.
Others suggested that the team behind branding the app – made by Block, Inc which was founded in St Louis, Missouri – should have hired a Scottish person to check the name for any potential pitfalls.
But some suggested the app could serve another purpose, with one Twitter user saying: “In this modern world it can be so hard to meet people for un-arranged violence.
“Ooh I've matched with Gary, a mouthy bastard from Carluke who thinks I'm full of shite and clearly needs taking down a peg or too.”
