Scots baffled as This Morning's Rochelle Humes says Scotland is 'too dark' to host I'm A Celebrity

I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here chiefs have confirmed that they are hunting for a brand new location for this year's 20th edition of the TV series.

The popular show which sees celebs complete revolting and terrifying tasks to be crowned king or queen of the jungle usually takes place in Australia.

But this year, TV bosses are searching for the perfect UK location where I'm a Celeb can be filmed within castle ruins.

Scotland is known for its incredible castles, but This Morning's Rochelle Humes reckons Scotland is "too dark" and instead somewhere like Cornwall would better, reports the Daily Record.

Rochelle Humes made the comments while she was hosting This Morning alongside Dermot O'Leary today - and many Scots have been left confused by the remarks.

Discussing possible locations for this year's edition, the TV presenter said: "I wonder where it could be? I doubt Scotland because it's quite dark.

"Maybe Cornwall? I mean, Cornwall would be fabulous wouldn't it? Because they will still have the beach."

The remark made by Humes sent Scots on Twitter into overdrive with many poking fun at the idea of Scotland being 'too dark.'

One wrote: "Sorry but Scotland's quite dark? eh hello we get daylight hours same as england you know."

Another commented: "To people living in Scotland... how do we cope since it’s too dark?"

Another joked: "Did you not know North of Hadrian's wall we all live in the middle ages?"

But others agreed with the presenter with one person saying:" People losing their minds cos this Rochelle said it's too dark to film I'm a Celeb in Scotland.

"This program is on in November right? When there are substantially fewer hours of daylight in most of Scotland than in most of England?"
