Scots Asda worker spells out Denmark using pepperoni pizza in cheeky Euro jibe

A creative employee at a Scots Asda allegedly made a cheeky jibe against England's national team ahead of their Euro clash on Wednesday night.

A photo has emerged online that appears to show the Asda store on Aberdeen's Beach Boulevard using pizzas to support Denmark in last night's Euros semi-final.

Using plenty of pepperoni and a cheese base, the photo shows two flags and Denmark spelled out on display in the pizza section.

The lighthearted joke attracted attention on social media with many seeing the funny side of the workers antics with people calling it "harmless banter".

But some fans weren't as supportive and fumed at the display - forcing Facebook page Fubar News to delete their original post of the joke as many claimed it was "racist".

As well as some Denmark decor, the store was decked out in England flags and banners as the supermarket giant showed support for both sides.

England bet Denmark 2-1 in the semi-final and are now in with a chance of winning the Euros at Sunday's final match against Italy.

Asda have been contacted for comment.
