Scots actor Martin Compston has Tennent's tap installed in his Las Vegas home

Telly star Martin Compston was celebrating when he had a long awaited Tennent ’s draft tap installed in his Las Vegas home.

The Line of Duty and Mary Queen of Scots actor is a well known fan of the Scots lager and unveiled his very own bespoke Tennent ’s bar set up on social media.

He was presented with the draft kit as a thanks for his hardcore love and support of the beer brand, which included helping launch their Glasgow visitors centre last autumn.

He tweeted his first picture of the tap, featuring a unique design paying homage to his and US wife Tianna’s love of the T in the Park festival.

Line of Duty star Martin Compston warns followers over fake Instagram account targeting women

He wrote: “Got my @TennentsLager tap hooked up in house bar ya wee beauty! Chuffed to bits with it especially the sleeve design.”

The new pump is pride of place in the bar of the Las Vegas home he shares with actress wife Tianna Chanel Flynn.

The sleeve design features the slogan, A Taste of Home and artwork representing his career in hits like Sweet Sixteen and Monarch of the Glen. He also has a seven foot painting of hometown Greenock in the bar area,

Alan McGarrie, Group Brand Director for Tennent’s said: “Martin had been talking to us about the fact that since moving to Las Vegas he doesn’t have as much access to high-quality Scottish beer.

"We thought it was only fair, as a hardcore Tennent’s fan, that we helped him find a solution. Alongside the tap and neon sign, we’ve also kitted him out with a load of bar essentials to make sure he gets the full experience.

Martin Compston is currently appearing in BBC1 cop drama Line of Duty (BBC/World Productions Ltd/Adian Monaghan)

“The bar tap design is also totally unique to him.

He speaks so fondly about the times he and Tianna spent at T in the Park, but also of the home they have made in Las Vegas, which was the inspiration for the centre. Now the bar is installed I can see a few of his fellow expats popping round for a beer.”
