Scots actor Brian Cox thrills viewers as character blasts son for buying Hearts instead of Hibs

He's earned plaudits for his portrayal of foul-mouthed media mogul Logan Roy in HBO’s latest hit TV series .

Scots actor Brian Cox has also thrilled viewers as his nasty patriarch outsmarts scheming children and fends off attempts to buy his empire from under him.

But in the latest episode of the drama, the actor goes ballistic when his son Roman, played by , buys him Hearts FC as a gift – because Logan is a Hibs fan.

When Roman asks if his dad is sure he supports , he blasts: “How would I know what team I’ve supported all my f***ing life? Maybe I support Kilmarnock. Or F***o-Chester Rangers?”

Dundee is put firmly on the map in the eighth episode of the second season, with the cast in the city to open a journalism school and host a dinner at the V&A.

Executive producer said: “There was something very special about bringing Brian back to his and Logan’s hometown.”

Cox, 73, said: “I am from Dundee and so is the character. I’m having a great time doing Succession.”
