ScotRail warn all Edinburgh Park services will be 'extremely busy' tonight with queues likely

All train services from Edinburgh Park are expected to be "extremely busy" on Saturday evening with queues likely.

ScotRail took to social media this afternoon to warn that there will be a lot of congestion in and around the station in the coming hours.

They will have extra staff on-hand to help but say "it's likely you will have to queue before you're able to catch a train".

The city centre has been busy on Saturday – and the Edinburgh Rugby v Glasgow Warriors rugby match at BT Murrayfield is adding to the footfall in the capital with around 27,000 attending the match.

Edinburgh Trams tweeted to say that their services were also "very busy" as a result.

Edinburgh Live previously reported that major railworks were ongoing at Haymarket, meaning no trains are able to pass through the station until Sunday morning. Normal service is expected to resume at 10am tomorrow.
