Scotrail train services won't be running between Edinburgh and Bathgate today due to works

There will be no train services between Edinburgh and Bathgate today.

ScotRail announced earlier this morning that there would be disruption on the line due to track renewal works taking place in the Newbridge area.

Passengers hoping to travel between the capital and Uphall, Livington North and Bathgate will be required to use a replacement bus service.

Trains will be in use on the line once more from Bathgate and on to Armadale.

ScotRail posted on social media: "Engineering work is taking place today in the Newbridge area. If you're travelling between Bathgate and Edinburgh buses will replace trains for part of your journey."

For more information on how services are affected visit the ScotRail website.
