ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Bathgate disrupted due to signalling fault

A number of Edinburgh train services are being disrupted this morning due to a signalling fault.

ScotRail have reported that due to an issue at Edinburgh Waverley a host of journeys scheduled to leave from, and arrive at, the capital will be impacted.

All services between Edinburgh and Milngavie, via Airdrie and Bathgate will either start or terminate at Bathgate.

Replacement buses have been requested for the stretch of journey between Edinburgh Park and Bathgate. ScotRail tickets can also be used on Edinburgh Trams at no extra cost.

It was also announced at around 8am that services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High may be delayed or revised.

The rail operator adds that staff are working hard to get things back to normal, although the problem is expected to continue until at least 9am.
