SCOTRAIL have launched a unlimited travel family pass this October, to assist Scots navigating the ongoing cost of living crisis including rising fuel costs.
Costing £50, the Family Pass gives up to two adults and four children unlimited train travel for seven consecutive days, starting any day between 13 and 20 October 2025.
The pass is available to buy from October 6 until 20, with the operator suggesting a city trip to Edinburgh or Glasgow or a scenic adventure to Aberdeen, Inverness, or Oban.
The ScotRail Family Pass terms and conditions include:
- Ticket includes unlimited travel for seven consecutive days
- Valid for up to two adults and four children. Children should be aged 5-15 years old. Children aged five and under travel for free, and do not need a ticket.
- Start your seven days of travel, any day between 13 - 20 October 2025
- Valid on all ScotRail services across Scotland
- Travel valid after 09:15 Monday to Friday, anytime at the weekend
- Tickets can only be purchased at a ScotRail ticket office or on the train
