SCOTRAIL has warned customers that there will be no trains running on a busy Glasgow line as essential engineering work is being carried out.
The train operator announced that some services running departing from Glasgow Queen Street will be impacted due to the work which is being carried out on Sunday.
In a statement posted online, ScotRail confirmed that engineering work will take place between Partick and Rutherglen as well as between Springburn and Gartcosh.
The travel firm added that a rail replacement bus service for affected passengers has been arranged.
The statement added: “Check replacement bus times/service info in advance.
“Journey times may be extended, so allow extra time for travel.”
Trains to Glasgow Central will still run, but will travel via Kirkhill and Mount Florida, resulting in increased journey times.
ScotRail customers have been advised to regularly check the travel firm's social media platforms for more information regarding the temporary closure of the lines.
