ScotRail revealed their “Pride of Scotrail” design last week

On Friday, the train company unveiled a new eye-catching “Pride of ScotRail” train design that features the 11 colours of the Progress flag.
After revealing this, ScotRail asked their 236,000 followers whether they had seen the Pride of ScotRail train.
While most replied with positive feedback, there were some that shared their anger at the new design.
One person replied asking: “I take it you’ll also be painting one in ‘straight’ colours?”
“Or will we be discriminated against?”
But one worker, only known as Ste, who controls the ScotRail Twitter account, had the perfect response to the troll’s ignorant question.
“Straight people aren’t punched in the face for holding hands with their life partner, nor are they executed in other countries simply for being straight.
“Please educate yourself on the matter before commenting such nonsense.”

Although it remains unclear whether Ste will receive any of these perks, his colleagues have sung his praises and promised to reward him for his sharp comeback.

In a statement, ScotRail commercial director Lesley Kane said: “Scotland’s Railway is for everyone and, this Pride Month, we wanted to do something really special to demonstrate our support for Scotland’s LGBTQ+ community.
“That’s why we are unveiling our “Pride of ScotRail” train, created by our own staff LGBTQ+ and allies network and designed by one of our talented team.
“It’s a visual commitment to our support and a reminder that we won’t tolerate bigotry or discrimination.”
Although this design was revealed during Pride Month, the vinyl stickers will remain in place until 2029 when the metalwork will require repainting.
