ScotRail Glasgow to Edinburgh trains cancelled after rammy on-board

Trains between Glasgow and Edinburgh were cancelled following a rammy on-board at the weekend.

Transport police raced to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 8.10pm on Saturday, June 26.

Emergency services were responding to reports of a "fight on-board" a service travelling between Glasgow Queen Street and Airdrie.

Cops say their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

On Saturday night Scotrail said it was forced to cancel trains between the countries two largest cities following the bust up.

They said on Twitter: "Due to passengers causing a disturbance, services between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh via Falkirk High will be cancelled."

A force spokesperson said: "British Transport Police were called to a service travelling between Glasgow Queen Street and Airdrie stations at 8.10pm on Saturday 26 June following reports of a fight on-board.

"Enquiries into this incident are ongoing."
