Scotland written off by Croatia boss as rivals Serbia's 'better quality' backed to set up Glasgow grudge match

Serbia will be too strong for Scotland in next month's play-off final according to Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic.

His country will face the winners of Scotland v Serbia in their Euro 2020 group, alongside England and the Czech Republic.

Steve Clarke's men take on Serbia in Belgrade next month, with participation in a first major tournament in 23 years the prize should they emerge triumphant

And Dalic reckons his men will be playing against hated rivals Serbia.

He said: "Both Serbia and Scotland would be tough opponents for us, we are under no illusions about that.

"If Scotland made it that would mean we would have to play against two host countries at their home stadium in front of their fans so that wouldn't be ideal.

"But if I am being honest, Serbia has the better quality and would be a harder opponent for us.

"So I think we will play against the Serbs in Glasgow next summer. That will be fun!"
