Scotland World Cup draw in full as Steve Clarke's men handed favourable group

Scotland have been handed a favourable draw for World Cup 2022 qualifying - but have been paired with Israel again.

The two sides have met regularly in recent years, with the last in the playoff semi-final for Euro 2020.

And now they'll go up against each other yet again but overall it is a good draw for Steve Clarke's men as they look to reach a World Cup for the first time since 1998.

After getting the monkey of no major tournament in 23 years off their back, they'll now look to reach the World Cup.

The pot one seeds in the group is Denmark, and they haven’t met competitively since the 1986 World Cup when the Danes ran out 1-0 winners.

But Scotland have won their last two ties, winning 2-1 in a friendly in 2011 and 1-0 in 2016.

Austria are also there as the pot two team and that might be a good omen. Scotland beat Austria in qualifying for the 1998 tournament.

Faroe Islands and Moldova make up the group, and they'll all travel to Hampden over the next couple of years.
