It's been a rainy, windy week in Scotland but there is good news. The weather is set to be brighter and drier this weekend, with temperatures occasionally reaching almost 20 degrees.
While we wouldn't put away the brolly just yet, it's almost time to bring out the sunglasses and light the barbecue.
Here is when you can expect the temperature to rise in different areas of Scotland this week.
Edinburgh weather
Saturday: There will be highs of 17 degrees, and the weather will be dry throughout the day and a moderate breeze. Although it won't all be blinding sunlight, there will be sunny intervals throughout the day. There will be lows of seven degrees at night.
Sunday: Similarly, the Met Office forecasts highs of 16 degrees, and lows of nine. The weather will still be partially cloudy, but the breeze should soften to a gentle one.
Glasgow weather
Saturday: It's been a wet week in Glasgow, but the weather will dry up by Saturday, with light cloud and a gentle breeze. Sadly no sun, but the temperature will reach a fair 16 degrees, with lows of eight.
Sunday: The sun will finally make an appearance on Sunday, with temperatures reaching 20 degrees. The sun will be intermittent, with a gentle breeze, and lows of 10 degrees.
Aberdeen weather
Saturday: It's been quite a dry week in Aberdeen, and the weekend isn't an exception. However, it's cooler than the other major cities, with highs of 14 degrees, and lows of nine. There will be light cloud and a gentle breeze.
Sunday: The sun will make an appearance, although it will be an intermittent one with sunny spells. There will be highs of 14 again, and lows of nine, plus a gentle breeze.
Dundee weather
Saturday: Dundee has escaped the worst of the rains this week, and the weekend will remain nice and dry. There will be highs of 16 degrees this Saturday, with the weather cool but clear.
Sunday: Similarly, Sunday will see highs of 13 degrees, with the sun expected to shine brightly.
