Hot weather and dry skies are set to continue for another week in Scotland, with temperatures reaching 22C.
Scots have been basking in sunshine after the country was treated to a mini heatwave over the recent Bank Holiday weekend.
Met Office forecasters say the good weather will continue across most of Scotland for the next seven days, with the mercury to be coasting above 20C this weekend.
With the exception of some clouds and scattered showers, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness and Perth will be treated to dry skies and T-shirt weather over the coming days.
Scotland's west coast - including Glasgow - and parts of the Highlands will see some rainfall on Wednesday with the wet weather hopefully clearing up by Thursday.
Scotland's weather is tropical in comparison to thunderstorms and torrential downpours forecast for the south east of England, the Midlands and South Wales this week.
A Met Office forecast from Wednesday onwards reads: "Mostly fine, dry and very warm in the sunshine in the east and southeast. Cloudier in the west, with rain in some northern and western areas at times."
Scots have flocked to parks, beaches and beauty spots over recent weekends as the thermostat soared above 20C in most parts of Scotland.
It comes as midges have emerged in large numbers due to recent hot weather.
Experts say the last few days have given the biting beastie the perfect swarm.
It could be the ultimate bite-mare for campers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Dr Alison Blackwell said: “The cold May kept numbers down but the last few days of hot weather has seen large numbers emerge.
“In a few days, people in the Highlands will feel the difference. If you haven’t been bitten yet, you soon will be.”
