Scotland is set to sizzle next week as the mercury soars above 20 degrees in parts of the country.
Despite sunny spells this week, it's set to end overcast and wet but temperatures will stay in double figures before rising next week.
Scots are to bask in highs of 22C in Glasgow by next Tuesday, while Edinburgh will see temperatures reach 19 degrees and Aberdeen will be cooler at 17C.
There could even be a chance to catch a tan with the sunshine set to break through the clouds as 'sunny intervals' are forecast.
It comes as European holiday destinations are suffering in an extreme heatwave as air from the Sahara creates a "heat dome" over the Mediterranean.
However, BBC weather forecaster Ben Rich told Countryfile assured viewers there is "no chance" of the heatwave, nicknamed 'Lucifer', coming to the UK due to 'two main players' battling it out in the atmosphere.
He explained that a north-westerly wind off the Atlantic is actually pushing the heat from the south away from the UK.

Scotland's hot weather next week is set to follow a wet weekend, with the Met Office warning of a 'fairly wet picture' across the country from Saturday.
Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell said: "Temperatures on Friday, if you do you see any brightness potentially reaching the low twenties but for most staying in the high teens.
"Then that wet weather across the Southwest will gradually spread its way eastward across all parts as we go into Saturday.
"So, a fairly wet day for most actually on Saturday, maybe some brightness later on in the West but you can see that for most it's a fairly wet picture.
"We are keeping a very close eye on that rain because it could potentially be very wet in a few spots."
