Scotland 'Wall of Noise' leaves Denmark star blown away as Hampden masterpiece gets major respect

Shocked Rasmus Nissen admits Denmark were floored by a Hamdpen wall of noise as their dream of a perfect World Cup qualifying record was shattered.

Scotland smashed the Danes' hopes of making it an immaculate ten out of ten in their qualifying campaign as Steve Clarke 's men produced a sensational performance to win 2-0 in what will go down as a famous night in Glasgow.

And Red Bull Salzburg defender Nissen admitted they folded once a capacity Hampden started backing Scotland during the game.

He explained: "We spoke about it before the game. We wanted to avoid the full stadium getting behind them, but that's exactly what happened and we couldn't live with that.

"They made us make a lot of mistakes, Scotland had a really high tempo and pushed us back. When that happens, it's an uphill task.

"We fought back slightly in the second half, but we were never really dangerous if we are truthful. It was a deserved Scottish victory and not good enough from us."

And Chelsea star Andreas Christensen had no complaints about the outcome.

He said: "We were not very good, particularly in the first half. We improved in the second half, but lacked sharpness. There was something missing, but credit to Scotland.

"Scotland had more to play for than us and it showed, to be honest. It's a poor excuse from us if we say we lacked motivation.

"We said before the match we wanted to put on a show for the 3,000 Danes who came to the match, but we were never close to doing that."
