Scots are set to bake in warmer weather over the Easter weekend - with temperatures set to peak at 17C.
The Met Office has said that the recent uptick in conditions is due to warmer air being drawn up from France.
This will see thermostats across Scotland soar into the mid-to-late teens from Good Friday into Easter Monday.
Glasgow is expected to be the warmest on Saturday, with a high of 17C forecast - which will match temperatures in Malta on the same day.
But forecasters have predicted that there will be a number of weather fronts and unsettled spells alongside the band of warmer air.
Dan Rudman, Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, said: “It’s a bit of a mixed picture as far as weather is concerned over the long Easter weekend, although feeling warm in places, at least early in the weekend.
“A low pressure system to the north west of the UK will bring unsettled weather to the north with some strong winds likely and rain in the north west, which could impact driving conditions for some.
“Temperatures are like to be above average for the time of the year, although low cloud might keep temperatures lower in coastal areas.”

Here is the Easter weather forecast for every Scots city, according to the Met Office.
