Scotland team v Czech Republic revealed with Craig Gordon and Kevin Nisbet on the bench

The first Scotland team to play at a major tournament for 23 years has been confirmed.

And it’s disappointment for Craig Gordon and Kevin Nisbet, who have to settle for a place on the bench.

Steve Clarke had a big call to make between Gordon and David Marshall and he’s gone for the man who made the vital penalty save in Belgrade to get Scotland to this stage.

Gordon joins former Hearts goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin on the bench.

Hibs striker Nisbet is also amongst the bench, although that was perhaps more expected.

Nisbet only has three international appearances to his name, but did score in the recent friendly against the Netherlands.

Lyndon Dykes and Che Adams will lead the line for the hosts, although should Scotland need a goal as the game goes on, no doubt Nisbet will be summoned.

The other big news is that Chelsea's Billy Gilmour doesn’t start, with Southampton's Stuart Armstrong getting the nod in midfield.

Scotland: Marshall, Cooper, Hanley, Hendry , O'Donnell, Robertson; McTominay, McGinn, Amrstrong, Christie; Dykes.

Subs: Gordon, McLaughlin, McGregor, Adams, Taylor, Turnbull, Nisbet, Fraser, Patterson, Gilmour, Forrest, McKenna.
